KDL32W653 32-inch with HD attached Pause Problem

KDL32W653 32-inch with HD attached it will record but will not Pause. By that I mean if when watching a program live and I wish to pause for a few minutes the pause button will not work.

If I set up a program to record then that works fine.

The TV used to work 100% but now it doesn't.

I tried unlinking the drive and then relinking it.

Any other ideas please.

Not sure if you have a 2013 model (final A) or 2014 (final B): do you press the pause button or the "Tv pause" button? you should use the latter....
