Why won't my TV connect to the Internet?

All attempts at connecting to the internet have met with:

wireless device - OK

local access - failed

network access - failed

the TV recognises the router in the set up but it will not connect.

I tried the altest firmware update for the TV but it had no effect. This link suggests that there is a problem with the TV that cannot be fixed (my TV gives the same problem IP address an it will not recognise any changes to that address).

Which panel have you got and are you connecting using the Sony wireless dongle or a 3rd party dongle?

I've got the 46EX503. I also have the Sony wireless dongle (and the TV recognises it okay).

Have you tested it with Ethernet, just to see if you can connect at all?

Try temporarily turning off your wifi security as well to see if you can connect.

The Sony KDL43W756c won't connect to google, tries for about 5mins or so and then the screen goes completely white, I press back button on remote and goes back to ' network connected ' the wifi signal is strong
