Connection Problem

I have a Virgin media modem with an ethernet cable that plugs into my pc and provides me with internet.

I unplug this and put it into the back of my Bravia 32ex703.

I had internet tv for one day not including BBC iplayer. (said i need to turn software update to auto - which it was)

The next day and up till now it won't work, nothing. Network failure.

I plug the ethernet cable back in to my pc and there's no problem there.

What's going on? How do I fix it?

I have the Bravia 32EX603 and have exactly the same problem.

It says cable connected and shows isp address etc but will not connect.

Hope someone can help

I have same problem with my 32EX703.

all connections are showing good but will not refresh internet content

Have you tried doing a Factory reset on the TV - sometimes post firmware update, this is needed to jolt everything back into action.

Hi,

I am having the same problem with my KDL-52HX903. It worked fine for a month. I needed to move the router

so disconected the lead from the tv. When I reconected it would not get onto the internet and has been stuck, even after a factory reset.

Not impressed.

So come on Sony, don't you read these posts?

Are you happy that so many people are having this problem?

I bought this Sony product because i was under the impression that they were the best. How wrong am I?

Some steps to try - assuming you have the latest firmware.

Run a full reset on the TV.
Run the network setup wizard again in the network settings - does the device report it can access the web ok?
Then try refreshing internet content.

If this doesn't work, then call your local service centre and see if they can pop over and take a look at it.

Catmanbo. It is no use saying this is a cure as it is not.

Just putting a green tick there does not solve the problem.

That page for the UK does not work!
