Hi Guys, My Computer has got a virus like 'program' on it, it is a website that whenever you type in a wrong web address, it will go to its site, i have had to have it blocked by my schools firewall. According to others forums, after searching on Google for a solution to this, they say that if the prob is very bad, the Computer will have to be re-formatted. The Problem gets worse and worse,and will not let you go to sites eventually. I have not been able to write to my ISP, perhaps u could do it for your ISP and ask them to block it or something. If anyone knows where the program's files are stored, i would not be able 2 thank u enough, as then i can delete them, and save quite a lot of money!!!! Hi Rob, it is not that plugin unfortunately, the 'program' downloaded its self by itself, and has taken over my microsoft internet search engine (the one which comes with IE6), and when i type in a wrong address it auto. takes me to its site. The sites mother language is spanish, and i get the english version, but it looks like it is a porn site or something nasty. stay away if you want your computer to run smoothly!! Does anyone know of a removal tool???!!!

When I go to the site I get a Security dialogue box asking if I want to install and run "software" signed on 02/02/2004 and distributed by Matrix Technology Network S.A.

I refuse the offered software and nothing else is downloaded. although I do get a lot of blocked popups when I leave the site.

Perhaps http://www.computercops.biz/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=65919 will help anyone who has installed the scumware.

I haven't tested the above.

If you mean the link then try later as they are carrying out routine maintenance, If you mean the solution then you could be right as I haven't been able to test the solution because I haven't got the problem.
