when in an udaio conversation on msn i can hear poeple but they cant hear me

On my old pc i could and i was talking to the same person with eh same os system

My new pc is RZ422p

All of the wizards/audio adjustments have been run and i can hear my voice when running the wizard

When using other web based audio programs peopl can hear me

I've tried all i can think off and still cant get it to work correctly

Ive even opened the ports on my firewall that messenger audio uses(i think) and still it wont work

Does anyone have any ideas at all????

Your help would be greatly appreciated

I do know that some firewall routers cause issues with Messenger, such as the newest firmware for some Netgear routers.

Also, do you have the XP Firewall on?

Are you useing a differant operating system to who you are having an audio convo with?

I know that there are conflics with msn in audio when ppl use differant OS's, especialy when sum1 is on X.P and sum1 is on millenium edition!

dont have xp firewall on using norton intenet security

person im have audio with has xp pro same as me

OK try this : Control Panel > Add remove Programs > Add remove Windows Components > click one time on Networking Services and then Details > Select Universal Plug and Play and go "ok".

It reinstalls the UPNP feature if it has been accidentally removed by antispam software.

i diabled upnp due to a security risk

anyway i tried it and no it didnt work

for those interested i finally found out what teh problem is

With some intel cards there is a bug that wont let you hear sound on msn unless QoS is disabled in Lan connection
