hello,

i have a vaio vgn-fz31m but i curse the day when i bought it.Purchase date was 2008.08 and this little scrap messed up in 2010.07 with the GPU.They changed the motherboard and now what happened again?Yes,the GPU messed up again(screen display went pixels,pixel colunms went thru the screen)plus 1 day later the laptop suddenly shutted down and i am not able to turn it on again...so i really messed up with vaio .I recommend to everybody to stay away from purchase one of this scrap.

Laptop lifteime:3 and a half year-included 1 motherboard replacement in 1 year 10 months age.

so dont buy SONY VAIO!!

Ps:i have a fujitsu notebook also,whic is 7 year old,dropped 2 times,broken chasis but still working!! No problem has ever!!

Hardware rarely fails. I guess you were just struck by it. I do believe that the support tried their best to help you on this.
