connect laptop to old crt tv.

can anyone tell me if i can connect my laptop to my old crt tv to watch movies i have downloaded from orange film to go and if so what cables to use.

Hi allankingrollo and welcome.

This will depend on what outputs your laptop has and also what inputs your TV has.

If you have any additional inputs/outputs then a direct connection may be possible but the usual way would be to use a converter box:

A VGA cable from your laptop to a converter box

An audio cable from your laptop's headset output to the TV

A yellow Composite Video cable (or a S-Video cable) from the converter box to the TV

A converter box like this: -
