My Vaio keyboard won't quit connecting?

I tried the procedure of using the connecting buttons on both the keyboard and the computer, but it still does not connect. Is there a way to check to see if the keyboard is sending a signal to the computer. I'm thinking the keyboard is shot? It has the fast blink when in the search mode and then goes to the intermittent blink with not connecting. My computer is a 2010 VCPL 117-FX. It is the original keyboard. I'm using a USB keyboard now and it works fine. Maybe I'll have to keep using it? There is no pairing exe file in Windows 10 that I can find, or a troubleshooter?
