topic Sony Vaio F Series - PCG-81113M in PCs & Accessories

Hi,

I have just recently started using my Sony Vaio laptop again after a year of no use, and wanted to get in touch to see if there is a method of reducing my laptop fan noise.

Whilst every other aspect works excellently, it would be great to reduce the fan volume. It runs loudly even in a standby mode with all processes (bar core ones) stopped. I have read about a BIOS download which helps manage this, but couldn't see the appropriate download for my model. I bought the PC in 2012, but it still runs very well and has no problem with current updates etc. I wonder if you are able to help?

Also, do you still offer parts for this specific model, as I could do with a new laptop battery. It lasts about an hour at the minute.

Best wishes,

Myles
