Vaio Windows 8 Boot Up with num lock off - I want on

Hi there, I have recently purchased a Sony vaio SVE1512M1EW with Windows 8 (64 bit). My laptop boots up with num-lock OFF but I would like to turn it ON automatically. There is no BIAS that it runs through and I don't think that there is any settings that I can change in charms->settings->change PC settings->general. I have also tried the hkey_users->...->keyboard and changing the number to 2 method (here), but that hasn't worked. I was wondering if there are any other ways, as I always find it easier to use the number-pad on the right.

I'd like my number lock key on when I boot up, I haven't found a way to do it yet, it is off everytime... also my browser caches are emptying on shutdown, I've checked everything but still all my logins vanish tut ! Help anyone ??
