Reader is authorised to another user

I have had my ereader for a number of years and download books off Kobo. I have not had a problem until recently where I downloaded a book and I now get the error message "reader is authorised to another user". I have not changed my kobo account, not changed anything to do with the ereader and I am doing it all from the original computer I used when I first bought the ereader.

Please help. My most recent book is sitting on the computer, I just can't transfer it.

Have a look Here to see if this helps.

"With the Reader attached and showing in ADE, press Ctrl-Shift-E. This will bring up the device deactivation dialog. Deactivate the device, unplug it and replug it. ADE should then bring up the device activation wizard."

This apparently worked.
