I am an interiors/architectural shooter, so I'm always on a tripod. I keep a battery on the tripod and plug it into the USB-C port. It's great that I can shoot and charge the battery, however it always goes up to 100%, and that just cooks my batteries and shortens their life needlessly.

Many manufacturers have finally caught on and added 80% charge limits to mobile phones and laptops and more. Can you add that to our cameras? I'm not the only tethered shooter, right?

And I encourage whoever works in Sony finance to not think "we make a lot of money from the batteries". All burning out batteries will do for tethered shooters is frustrate them when they finally get a job where they shoot without the tether....and their battery lasts 50 shots.

Thanks for hearing me out
