battery problems HDR AS15

My problem is this i charge the battery full charge displayed, then film for 11 minutes switch camera off 7-8 hr later switch on and the battery is flat.

FYI I have not made any recent changes to the camera or the way I use it and it would allow me to record 2 X 11 minutes each day which would last several days until circa 2 hours of recording time then the battery would need charging.

Do the batteries just expire suddenly? Going from holding the charge then the next day charging as normal looking like they have taken a full charge light goes green etc then camera used in the morning then dead by the evening.

can you help explain this please?
