Sony XDR DS12IP not working with ipod touch.

Hi,

We bought the xdr ds12ip a few weeks ago, the dab and other feature are great but i cant get it to work with my first gen ipod touch. It works with my wife's iphone 3GS. I took it back to the shop and demonstrated the problem and was given a new one, got it home and still have the same problem. There's nothing wrong with the ipod and it works fine with other docks we have. Am i missing something when im setting this up?

I Had the same problem found out in the small print to install the latest software I had 1.2 updated to 1.3 and working just fine now.

Ace, thanks for that. Is the actual software on the dock that needs updating? Is it easily done?

No its the actual ipod software.

If you go into itunes plug in your ipod and check software version then check for updates if it is an older version just choose to install newer version when the ipod reboots plug into the docking station and see if it works
