Z1 does unfortunately not have IR.

The launcher does support landscape but only when the phone is put in a docking station. If you want landscape during normal usage you need to install another launcher like Nova Launcher or similar.

Any stylus made for capacitive screens should work.

The display in Z1 will not work with any pen or stylus. You need a stylus made for capacitive screens.
