Replacement Xperia 1 no longer has Android 11

After owning an Xperia 1 for a number of years and having it upgraded to Android 11. However the handset now refuses to boot up. So, I bought another from Amazon and, after setting it up, waited for the system update to inform me Android 11 is gonna be installed. It didn't happen..

Checking the inventory of updates it appears 9 (pie) is the latest now and all other updates just don't exist. I know the handset is end of life, but I would expect Sony to at least push out the final updates to any handsets.

Anyone have any idea?

Update. I managed to update to Android 10 by wiping the phone with the Xperia Companion. The updater then installed Android 10.
