Fingerprint sensor gave up working

Here we go again.
This morning i couldn't unlock the screen with my fingerprints, like I had never set up this way as default unlocking.
I took a look in the settings and it came out that all my fingerprints data were deleted, like i never registered one.
If i try to register new ones, at the last touch it always says that I exceeded the maximum time (but i'm not that slow) and so it's impossible to use the device properly.

I have been forced to restore my X Compact twice in less than four months. This can be the third, if there's no other way. I'm getting really, really upset.

have you tried to perform a software repair using Xperia companion?

does this happen when you are on safe mode?

I have been so busy these weeks that I haven't had any time to do. I've just done the software repair (as I sad, unfortunately, it's the third time on this brand new device) and now it works fine.

Thank you for your sorrow, It was just a moment of discouragement for me!
