Fully Charged Battery on Xperia Play

Hey guys new guy here. I just want to start of by making sure I am familiar with the Xperia Play which is by far my favorite android phone I have owned as of yet. I can't believe I didn't bother looking at the Sony Ericsson line before, being a Sony fan and all for many years.

Anyways I have a question that has been bugging me. All Android phones I owned before I have taken good care in terms of battery by not overcharging and making sure the phone recognized the battery was fully charged. With the Xperia Play even though the battery says 100% it still says charging. It doesn't say fully charged so it confuses me. I have been disconnecting the charger once it reach 100% due to fearing of overcharging. So have I been doing right or should I leave the phone itself recognize once it has fully charged the battery?

Sorry if this question has been answered before or if the answer is right before my very eyes but I want to be safe than sorry. I just want to be sure.

Interesting I did not know that. Thanks for your response. So the Xperia phones should have to turn off the LED light once fully charged? Makes sense and I kind of wondered why it didn't but never bothered to research that.

So the phone can't overcharge, eh? When I had the Epic and Evo from Sprint the Sprint techs always told me never to leave the phone charging after it was fully charged. But hey your response helped. Thanks.
