I have had this phone for about 4 weeks. Normally I would top up £10 every 6 - 8 weeks. This one has had £30 put on it already in 4 weeks, its costing me a fortune. I have found out that it is charging me for something. I hadn't used it for 5 days and in that time i lost £2.20 on it. I dont understand where it has gone or why. Can anyone advise? I have wifi and bluetooth turned off.

You need to make sure you have data traffic turned off. From settings select Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks and then untick Data Traffic.

Wifi doesn't incur any costs so if you want to use your phone for browsing/Facebook updates/downloading apps from the market etc then use wifi when available.

You can put a widget on your homescreens called Data Traffic to switch it on and off if you do have a small amound of net access, but if your package doesn't include this you will be paying a standard daily rate with your carrier and its probably one of your apps connecting and updating that is causing the cost to your account.

Brilliant thanks for that. Have turned it off. Sadly Im a little to late as its now left me with 10p credit so I will have to top it up again, but at least I know it will last longer this time. Shame they dont warn you about this when you get it.
