Please help me i just bought my new x8 phone but i cannot download anything from the market it say's There are no Android devices associated with this account...

yup i was log-in into my gmail account..please help me until now icant download anything from my phone...

i need to download flash player because i cant wach videos in there..

The X8 on version 2.1 doesn't support flash player. You can try Skyfire as a browser which allows you to view some webpages that use flash player.

Where are you trying to download from, directly from your browser or via the Android Market app in your app drawer?

unfortunately that's my biggest problem i cant find android market icon on my phone...

its just this SAM slide me which seems not so good apps there is not nice.

then when i try to browse android market via pc sign in with my gmail account

It says' There's no device associated with this account" something like that..then the downloading process stop..

that's why i cant download anything from android market ..

Please help im really stress with this phone...:(

If you got Slide Me and not Market in your phone it's because your handset is customized for a region/country where Google doesn't allow Android Market to be used.
There's unfortunately not way to download or in any other way get Market to this phone.

OMG!!!! u mean i cannot not and will not ever access the android market????

im here in singapore and i bought this phone here in a local store..

no wonder everybody here is using iphone...

so no one there can really help me with this thing????

buying this phone was a waste of money!!!!

It would appear that you have a handset that perhaps didn't originate in Singapore, as my understanding is that they normally have the Android Market on. What sort of shop did you purchase the phone from? Is it worth going in to a different phone shop to check their models to see if they have the Market on them, then it would give you some info to go back to the original place to discuss it with them.

You could root your phone and install a generic firmware but this is not a subject on which I have any knowledge. You could look over at XDA developers forum as they have tutorials and knowledgeable users to guide you. It will invalidate any Sony Ericsson warranty.

Have you been back to the store that you got the phone from? Did they make clear when you bought it that you weren't buying a local device? I don't know what your consumer laws are like over there but that could be misrepresentation if they did not.

I was just going through d website...n found out ur post....n felt lyk helping u....

neways coming to d point....

I can understand d situation u r in rite now....

1st i wld advise u to go back to d shop n discuss it with them...may be they will replace...i knw that u have already said u dnt have tym to go back...

but i wld suggest thats d best option & also cross verify it with d other shops...

About Rooting over here Moderators cannot help u...bcoz they r working for SE....i hope u get it....

And Rooting wil also void ur warranty....its an easy process...however if sumthing goes wrong....ur phone can be DEAD !!!....

So be carefull...thats y i wldnt recommend it.....

However wld still suggest u to go back to d Shop...
