A few problems (alarm and PC companion)

Hi there,

I have two issues which i need help resolving.

1) Does the alarm only work when the phone is switched on?

2) I have android 2.1 and PC companion shows its requires updating. All features work like Media Go and File Manager.

However, it wont let me upate the software on my phone and it fails when it's on the Preparing Stage.

I get the message "Unable to install or start phone software update components"

Can anyone help please? 😃

try Update Service to update your phone instead of PC Companion

now regarding alarms, when you say OFF do you mean the phone completely off or just the screen off (phone on idle)?

if its the first of course it won't work

I reinstalled PC companion and its works fine now.

Maybe, it didnt install properly.

And yes I mean when the phone is fully switched off.

even if PCC works fine right now, there had been so many issues with it, just keep Update Service available just in case.

and yeah the phone must be at least ON on IDLE for it to work
