Hi, your phone might be slow in responding due to the status of your internal phone memory. If you have downloaded and installed lots of aps try removing a few to free space. Some apps also conflict with operating system. Follow steps in:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008

This will disable all third party apps. See if phone runs normally. Most people accept permissions needed when installiing an app without really knowing what they do. Also if you have large media files or doc.(etc) files move them to an SD card or external drive. Make sure you have backed eveything up using PC companion and have downloaded the latest updates. As a last resort use the repair phone .function as per my last post.

Today I downloaded and installed the Poker theme & wallpaper from google play store as recommend by Sony Select. When my phone went into sleep mode It would not re-start. I could only turn it off by removing the battery. In attempting to re-start the initial Xperia screen shows. It then defauls to my service providers screen (Telecom) and freezes. I have removed sim card and sd card all to no avail. Is this a software conflict? Please advise what I should do?

Thanks..

Not quite sure what the issue is but it is similar to mine then you need to do the followiing: 1/ Download Sony PC companion from Sony Web site and install on PC. Open program and click on support zone...then click on Phone/Tablet software update. Next click on repair my phone tablet (written in blue). Then follow steps as advised. This will revert phone back to factory settings. You should back up all files before doing this particularly contacts. Media files will however not be lost. You should also update phone software.

Hi, I use an internal 32gb sd card to keep data on my internal memory to a minimum. I have over 800mbs of my internal memory in apps. The majority of these come pre-installed and i can't see myself using them in the near future. You can try uninstalling these but you will be warned that the phone may malfunction. A good way to reduce excess data stored is to use apps such as

CCleaner ,Clean Master, History Eraser etc

Hi, the front camera is generally used for taking self portraits or ""selfies"". To rotate between front and rear cameras tap the main camera icon. Then at the top of the screen you will see a camera icon with two arrows beneath it. Tap this and the photo taking mode will rotate. The instructions that come with the phone are very basic. I would suggest that you download the full user guide (Pdf)..

http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/c2004/userguide_EN_C2004-C2005_3_Android4.3.pdf

Hi, every1.

This is my first post at this forum and unfortunately this would be a complaining one.

Using the subject for some time alreadu and this is what troubles me:

- some heavy apps are not downloading due to the lack of space in internal memory and this phone is not supporting changing of default storage for them to your SD card. I had two other smartphones before that (one's manufacturer's name starts from H, the other's from L)))) and I thought that sony would be even better - that was disappointment number one. More of that - I bought Tablet Z for my wife and option of default storage on SD for the apps is added there. Dear support team - are the developers willing to change the situation in the next firmware update? If yes - how soon should we expect it? If no - is this a dead-born child and I am authorised to request my moneyback from your local dealer at my country (I will need an official letter from you in such a case because in your commercials there is not a single word about such restrictions which are not planned to be solved or fixed)? Or maybe I am wrong and there already is such a possibility? In such a case, would you please be so kind to give me a link to the page and string in your manual (the one which is located on this web-site) where I can enlighten myself on the way of using this option.

- the other one is a little cherry on the cake, described above - my camera app (the one, that is installed by default and guides all the camera drivers) is not starting. And this fact together with the one, that I have only one non default application installed (the reasons are above) pushed me to try to find the ways of updating my camera (or rolling back the drivers for it - maybe that single app somehow spoiled drivers, despite the fact, it was downloaded from the Google Play, which is recommended as a reliable place in your manual) and those are also not available in the "Jelly Bean (c) 4.3 - the latest version" (tm) And I cannot unlock the device to get root rights and get rid of the Sony firmware because of the warranty which will be violated if I do so.

I am patiently waiting for your kind, trusted and complete reply on the described issues (a standart one to go to the authorised service center in my area is an obvious one - don't be captains, I am aware of this way and wouldn't have written here a word if wanted too do so).

Overheating is usually caused by a faulty battery. Other factors could be if the phone has been immersed in water or if is used in a very a humid climate. Would suggest you initially buy a new battery. I would imagine the phone is no longer under warranty so if the new battery dosn't work it would probably work out cheaper to upgrade than have it repaired.
