I took out a new contract a few weeks ago and took out a deal with the Sony Xperia M2. I am stuck with this peice of trash for another 18 months!

This phone is not fit for purpose! The apps close randomly, the back button rarely works, the camera buttons do not work all of the time and sometimes when you press the shutter and release it the phone carries on taking photos in burst mode. Applications close by themselves also. I have just sent an email to Sony stressing my disgust as a quick Google shows that this is a common issue with this model so why is this still being sold?

Is this a issue with the OS in which case why is taking so long for a fix? Says it all when after half an hour I have to fire up the PC in order to complain to Sony as their own Support App keeps closing and the one time it did stay open, the keyboard didn't work. Utter trash and I expected more from Sony

Terrible phone. I too am stuck with this phone for 18 months. Spoke to someone at E E, who sold me this awful phone, and asked if there was anyway to switch back to my old phone (HTC one) the best phone I have ever owned. I was told to buy a tesco sim card and buy a cheap I phone off eBay.....no joke. The two week period at the start of contract was not enough to reveal it's lack of memory and inability to transfer apps to the memory card. The volume is way too low and makes music and podcasts inaudible. Heaven help anyone who is hard of hearing. sony stand by this product no matter how many emails of complaint I have sent..... Well they would, wouldn't they. Please check the vast amount of complaints this phone has resieved before buying. I'm a freelance journalist by trade will be writing a review about sony mobile phones including the new Z2, which was literally given to me!, by a colleague, who just gave up trying to use it. She complained of the same problems....... Oh and you can blame the m2 for any grammatical errors in my rant. The keyboard is just awful too. Thanks Sony
F.o.a.d

I think this is your own problem. I've been using this for about half a year, I don't really find much problems with it, just except the front camera is VGA..

I find this hard to believe as i too recently took out a two year contract myself with 3 when i broke my htc one(unrepairable as was destroyed by a bus)and chose the m2 xperia as it was such a quality device for a mid range phone. I was a htc user myself prior to this for several years had a one, desire, hero. i cannot fault the xperia m2 at all and would happily recommend one to anybody, its fast has a good sized screen(bigger than the htc ones) it runs almost stock android, good sized battery that easily lasts all day or longer even with constant use. Its also so much nicer to hold, to look at and to use than the plasticy looking moto g i was gonna get. The only fault i can think of is it wont be getting the lollipop update officially, but thats not really a fault with the actual device. the sound quality is superb on my m2 using the walkman app and sony headphones, i have found that anything other than quality headphones and the sound is not quite as loud or clear n crisp. I can definatly say i shall be replacing it with another sony phone come upgrade time. from a happy m2 xperia owner....

Yes I agree it's like buying a top of the range BMW. It's all absolutely amazing... Apart from the stereo is made to be barely audible. What a strange thing to do. Sony have not changed this even on the newer Xperia's. Sony won't comply at all. It's all a bit weird!

How do you increase the headphone volume. I listen to spoken podcasts. And Spotify with top end in ear noise reduction headphones. Still too quiet. Inaudible on a windy day.
I don't really care about the rest of the the phones functions. Because they all work perfectly well. the speakers on the phone are louder than the headphone volume??
